“When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home and of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies.” ~ET Sullivan

In the Kitchen

This morning Leah helped me make coffee cake for breakfast. She helped me measure each ingredient, and then I let her pour it into the bowl. Here we are stirring and stirring together. Boy, did we make a mess! I think she liked being a part of this activity.

Dear Leah,

It looks like you and mommy were having a good time making the coffee cake. You keep helping mommy in the kitchen and maybe in a couple of years you'll be ready for an Easy Bake Oven of your own that little girls have lots of fun baking with.

Love ya a bunch sweetie,
Aunt Joy
