“When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home and of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies.” ~ET Sullivan

This week in pictures

She reminds me of a porcelain doll.

Story time with Daddy!

She whispers gibberish as she "reads" to herself.

Out of curiosity, what book is Leah "reading?" It looks familiar, but I can't place it. And for her to whisper gibberish as she turns the pages is a great pre-reading sign. What an early intellectual! Ultra cute, and brains too! She's a toddler now, right? So we can declare Leah the cutest toddler in the world, and Jessica can take over the cutest baby role. :)

Definately! I'm so sad that I haven't met Jessica yet.

Leah is reading a collection of little golden book stories and I think the one she is looking at in this picture is "Good Night Little Bear" which, by the way, was one of my favorite stories when I was a kid (second only to Green Eggs and Ham).

Hi Leah, I too agree you look like a porcelain doll. Looks like you and Daddy are having fun reading together and you on your own. I think Green Eggs and Ham will always be a favorite of everyones. Love ya sweetie!

I like the toes in the picture with Leah and Chris--Leah's toes. Mom--sorry I still don't know the technology to really BE somebody.
