“When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, he goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up his earthquakes or send forth his thunderbolts. Instead, he has a helpless baby born, perhaps in a simple home and of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces in the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies.” ~ET Sullivan

Plus Pig-Tails, Minus Mullet

Hair cuts all around for this bunch!

Leah got her bangs trimmed and there was minimal cutting in the back (just to even things up). I can't understand why she has a fit when I brush her wet, silky, post-bath hair, but lets a stranger comb and spray and cut and pig-tail for 45 minutes. Samuel got his mullet and sideburns removed--we left the Fonz hair on the top (some have also termed it "Elvis" hair). Here they are in all their cuteness. I hope you can tell from the pictures that his hair has been cut. Compare to the long sideburns and the below-the-collar mullet in this photo to see his hair before. Can you believe he was born with that much hair? I think he looks so debonair! We make dang cute kids, if I may say so myself.
What is the occasion, you ask? Leah had hair in her eyes. And Sammy is being blessed next Sunday, March 2!
